About the role

  • SAP FPSL Consultant responsible for analyzing customer requirements and data for subledger compliance. Configure subledger accounting modules and maintain relationships with clients for optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and data for S/4HANA Financial Products Subledger in compliance with IFRS 17.
  • Prepare customer data for processing in subledger accounting.
  • Process data, validate functional correctness, and present results to clients.
  • Configure and adjust subledger accounting modules to meet customer requirements; investigate and resolve processing errors.
  • Maintain and support the customer’s FPSL system to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to FPSL configuration, master data, error correction, and job monitoring.
  • Document recurring problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Gather customer requirements, customize FPSL components, and deliver changes within agreed timelines.
  • Conduct system testing to ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
  • Guide customers in system customization and scoping activities.
  • Build strong relationships with client personnel, deliver quality services, monitor progress, manage risks, and keep stakeholders informed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Actuarial Science or Computer Science is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (preferably IFRS) and insurance principles.
  • Experience in FPSL solution design and configuration.
  • Familiarity with measurement models: PAA, GMM, and VFA, including data upload processes.
  • Basic understanding of the FPSL data model.
  • Experience in error handling, log analysis, and debugging.
  • Exposure to software development or standard implementation projects.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable.
  • Willingness to support varying schedules (e.g., 8x5 or 24/7) based on customer requirements.
