About the role
- Financial Accountant managing financial accounting and reporting under HGB and IFRS for an international environment. Collaboration with project leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure transparent financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform financial accounting in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS
- Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under HGB and IFRS
- Work closely with project managers and management to ensure transparent financial reporting
- Handle international transactions (intercompany, foreign currencies)
- Reconcile general and subsidiary ledgers (accounts receivable, accounts payable)
- Serve as a point of contact for auditors and tax advisors
- Optimize and further develop financial and project processes
- Ensure compliance with legal and internal policies
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training with further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in the IT industry
- Very good knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code) and IFRS
- Experience working in an international environment
- Very good SAP S/4HANA skills, ideally as a Key User
- Ability to prepare financial figures and present them appropriately for management
- Strong team skills and a confident manner when dealing with senior management
- Structured, analytical and independent way of working
- Good written and spoken English
