Responsibilities
Lead customer presentations
System staging
Complete system documentation
Live system upgrades
Ensuring the integrity of the architecture/design
Individuals will be responsible for carrying out field engineering duties during a radio system upgrade cycle
He/she will be responsible for upgrading/deploying various devices which include network gear, Windows-based devices, virtual machines and Motorola proprietary devices
Along with above duties, individuals will be a customer facing technical resource through the upgrade effort
He/She will be primarily traveling to Northeastern states’ customer locations to carry out their duties.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT or Networking
5+ years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience
Must be a US citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE highly desirable
Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) highly desirable
Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar, highly desirable
Previous knowledge and experience working with some or all of Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, Ceragon, highly desirable
Experience directly working with end-user customers is essential
Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences is essential.
