Responsibilities
You will be a core contributor to the Web Services team, designing, developing, and maintaining the high-performance, scalable backend services that power the entire mod.io ecosystem.
This role ensures reliable, fast API access for game clients, developers, and users globally.
You will use modern technologies to build robust systems, directly contributing to the platform's stability and future scalability under global traffic and high concurrency.
Requirements
2+ years PHP experience working with Laravel.
Experience with NoSQL key-stores such as Redis & relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, etc).
An ability to write high quality, modern PHP code using the Laravel framework.
A strong understanding of RESTful API’s and how applications consume them.
Familiarity with Amazon Web Services’ such as ECS, S3, Lambda, SNS, SES, SQS, EC2, RDS.
Familiarity with testing suites such as PHPUnit, with the expectation that all code you write is thoroughly tested.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.
Confidence in your ability to contribute to a project from start to finish with little oversight from senior team members.
An excitement to dig in and experiment, with real attention to detail and to challenge conventions.
