About the role
- Investment Operations Analyst supporting investment monitoring and reporting for alternative asset funds. Analyze financial statements and assist in AI integration within Mercer’s process.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements prepared by fund managers, which includes the compilation of funds and underlying portfolio company performance
- Record and reconcile cash flows arising from the underlying investments
- Develop a strong working rapport with colleagues in the client advisory and client reporting groups
- Assist in the integration of AI and other data capture tools into Mercer’s process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, similar discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Detail-process orientation
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work both independently, and as a member of a team
- Understanding of financial statements
- Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite
- At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience in private equity space
- Candidates with an MBA, Master’s in Finance, or professional certifications (CFA, CPA, CAIA) are a plus.
