About the role
- Principal Supply Chain Data Scientist developing analytics solutions for supply chain optimization at MKS. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing insights for decision making.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Procurement, Category Management, Material Planning, Logistics, Finance, Lean Excellence, and IT
- Introduce advanced analytics capability and analyze data approaches
- Develop and execute analytics projects to enable supply chain operations
- Collect, clean, and analyze supply chain data from multiple sources
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or reporting tools
- Conduct detailed analysis to assess business operations data and supply chain performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives
- Contribute to data science and analytics projects for supply chain optimization
- Communicate risk mitigation action plans and improvement ideas to executive stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, supply chain management or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of related experience
- Detailed knowledge of analytics and data analysis tools, platform, and solutions, with a strong proficiency in Power BI, Power Automate, Excel, and SQL
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus
- Experience with data science techniques and tools (e.g., AWS, Python, R, Azure AI Studio, machine learning frameworks) and extended knowledge of Gen AI application
- Proven communication skills to engage with senior leadership level
- Ability to collaborate with global and cross-functional teams, with a proven track record of taking ownership of issues
- Knowledge of or ability to learn details of the semiconductor industry
