About the role

  • Corporate Auditor responsible for risk-oriented audits and ensuring compliance at Heraeus. Engaging with management teams to recommend improvements based on audits.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conduct risk-based audits within the international environment of the Heraeus Group
  • Focus on the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control system in commercial business processes and on compliance with internal policies and external requirements
  • Identify improvement opportunities and develop remedial measures together with local management teams
  • Support the implementation of agreed measures
  • Prepare audit reports in English and present audit findings to the audited entities' international management teams
  • Contribute to the further development of audit methodology and internal audit policies

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Law, Business Informatics (Information Systems), or a comparable field
  • Several years of professional experience in Internal Audit or the finance function of an international company or in a public accounting firm
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Experience in project management and ideally in leading small project teams
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex relationships and tasks
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office, and experience with SAP ERP systems and data analysis applications (e.g., IDEA or Celonis)
  • Willingness to travel internationally and to work efficiently and independently
