About the role

  • Legal and External Affairs Officer supporting compliance initiatives in corporate environment. Leading vendor processes, managing documentation, and coordinating events.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation and execution of corporate compliance initiatives within the CORA function
  • Leading vendor sourcing, onboarding, due diligence, and contract management processes in partnership with Procurement and Legal
  • Coordinating internal and external CORA events, including vendor liaison, budgeting, logistics, communications, and execution
  • Assisting with records management for CORA documentation (contracts, correspondence, regulatory records)
  • Monitoring and leading debtor matters, tracking repayments, following up on overdue accounts, and calling out risks as required
  • Supporting regulatory reporting, internal audits, licence tracking, and responses to regulatory enquiries
  • Preparing presentations, briefing notes, stakeholder materials, and coordinating internal communications related to CORA activities

Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience in Legal, Corporate Affairs, Engagement or Compliance
  • Tertiary qualification in a similar field
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality
  • An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
