MARC Technician monitoring and responding to incidents in data centers to ensure operational success and productivity. Collaborating with teams while following safety procedures and best practices.
Responsibilities
Assist in the strategic direction for facilities operations.
Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
Assist in development of training programs to increase team technical capabilities.
Be part of a 24/7/365 team to monitor and assist sites with incident response and management.
Assist in the incident management team's operational aspects in a way which protects, maintains, and improves the value of the data centers.
Assist in site incident investigation by utilizing structured problem solving to identify root cause of failures.
Demonstrate the ability to self-start, be responsive, and be creative when finding solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve quality, customer service and cost performance, and assist in the execution of approved plans.
Assist in the creation of reports and presentations for senior management.
Assist Management to ensure optimal roll out and training in standard tools, processes, and systems where possible.
Help create and implement BMS/EPMS training to include mechanical plant management, utilization validation, and report/trend generation.
To develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization, being an ally to all.
Manage multiple project deliverables, requirements, and navigate complex situations.
Ability to prioritize and manage resources under high pressure.
Assist in MARC led Root Cause Analysis.
Requirements
Three to five (3-5) years of data center experience preferred.
Be able to work different shifts within 24/7/365 coverage strategy.
Proven record of accomplishment for cultivating strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors, or customers.
Excellent communication skills, teamwork, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
Multilingual is a plus.
