Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of the occupational health and safety policy;
- Identify control variables related to occupational illnesses, accidents, quality of life, and environmental factors;
- Audit and inspect processes, machinery, equipment, products, services, and work areas;
- Ensure compliance with NMASS and enforce them;
- Define and oversee routines required to comply with Regulatory Standards and other applicable occupational safety and environmental legislation;
- Develop and deliver educational initiatives in occupational health and safety;
- Act as the company's Occupational Safety Technician, legally representing the company in related matters.
Requirements
- Completed technical course in occupational safety (environmental qualification is a plus)
- Knowledge of Regulatory Standards: NR06 (PPE), NR10 (work with electricity), NR35 (work at heights)
- Language: English desirable
- Valid driver's license (category B) required
- Willingness to travel
