About the role

  • Litigation Associate Attorney supporting MGC's civil litigation team in Georgia. Overseeing case initiation to trial and collaborating with paralegals and legal assistants in a remote capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
  • Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
  • Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
  • Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.
  • Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Georgia
  • 3-4 years of practice experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Initiative and the ability to multitask
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Juris Doctorate or better
