About the role
- Editor responsible for writing articles and press releases for various media at MERKUR Group. Creating content for internal communication and external events while collaborating with teams.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for drafting specialist articles and press releases
- Independently coordinate the approval process, including selection of media outlets
- Create group-wide social intranet posts
- Provide content independently for annual reports, brochures, mailings and advertisements
- Conduct interviews, perform research, take photos, or produce videos
- Support and attend national and international trade fairs and events
- Build and maintain media contacts
Requirements
- University degree (e.g., media studies, humanities, communications/journalism)
- Relevant professional experience in press and public relations
- Solid knowledge across multimedia environments (print, online, social media, video, etc.)
- Proficient with Adobe programs, Photoshop and a content management system
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken (spelling, grammar, citation style)
- An additional foreign language, e.g., Spanish, is an advantage
- Willingness to travel and a valid driving licence (category B)
- Independent working style, team orientation, strong communication skills and a confident, professional presence
