About the role
- Emerging Technologies Manager partnering across MEPPI to evaluate and implement cutting-edge technologies. Drive alignment between IT strategy and Mitsubishi Electric initiatives for operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Partner with all MEPPI divisions to identify and evaluate emerging technologies
- Collaborate with MELCO and MEUS representatives to ensure MEPPI requirements are incorporated
- Work closely with the IT Director to align MEPPIs IT strategy
- Stay current on commercially developed technologies
- Drive implementation and adoption of emerging technologies across MEPPI divisions
- Ensure emerging technologies are implemented securely
- Apply Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices
- Recommend and participate in vendor selection processes
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, consultants, and service providers
- Partner with division leaders to identify business needs and develop innovative solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field
- Minimum of seven (7) years of technology-related experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing technology projects of varying scope and complexity
- Advanced knowledge of generative artificial intelligence technologies
- Strong understanding of information security concepts
- Experience with both waterfall and agile Software Development Lifecycle methodologies
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and a variety of business applications
