About the role
- Accountant II maintaining System Accounting activities including general ledger close and reconciliations at Memorial Hermann. Supporting process improvements and ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Maintain System Accounting activities including general ledger month-end close
- Perform complex account analysis and reconciliations
- Recommend changes in accounting systems and procedures
- Prepare and upload journal entries to the general ledger
- Reconcile general ledger accounts with monthly statements
- Prepare schedules for financial reporting
- Compile financial data to aid in preparation of reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting and reporting deadlines
- Assist with moderately complex accounting projects
- Document and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Two (2) to four (4) years of accounting work experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Attention to detail
