About the role

  • Engineering student supporting regulatory compliance and documentation assessments at MCI. Engaging in hands-on learning about commercial vehicle safety technical standards in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned vehicle regulatory compliance documentation assessments.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance audits and complete assigned procedures.
  • Coordinate tasks and deliverables to meet project schedules, deadlines, and lead times.
  • Maintain communication with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
  • Participate in Engineering and additional meetings to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide weekly status reports, including completed and outstanding actions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary engineering program.
  • Eligible to work in Canada and available to meet the required work schedule and work arrangement for the duration of the term.
  • Knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) in the U.S. and Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, planning, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
