About the role

  • Marketing Assistant at McBains supporting day-to-day marketing activities and providing administrative assistance to the marketing team. Excellent opportunity to develop marketing skills in a friendly and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Content support – assisting with copywriting and providing basic graphic support for marketing materials, under guidance from senior team members.
  • Presentations and credentials – supporting the preparation and maintenance of company credentials, case studies, CVs and marketing presentations, ensuring content is accurate and up to date.
  • Digital asset management – acting as a custodian of the company’s digital asset management system (OpenAsset), helping to maintain project and people information.
  • Marketing resources – assisting with the organisation, filing and tagging of marketing materials to ensure easy access across the business.
  • Website & social media support – assisting with content creation and posting across the company website and social media channels.
  • CRM support – maintaining accurate data within the CRM system (Project Sales Achiever) and encouraging consistent use by the wider team.
  • Event support – providing practical and administrative support for business development and internal events.
  • Intranet content – uploading and updating marketing-related content on the company intranet.
  • Branded materials – coordinating the ordering, storage and distribution of corporate branded items.
  • Marketing administration – providing general administrative support to the marketing team, including research, proofreading and day-to-day coordination tasks.

  • You will be expected to possess the following skills at the stated level or above:
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Powerpoint, Word, Excel.
  • Experience in InDesign, Photoshop or Canva advantageous
  • Experience/interest in developing and maintaining databases
  • Creative flair with a good eye for visual design and layout of documents
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.
  • Good analytical, research and written English skills.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for excellence
  • Proactive, common-sense attitude.
  • Some prior experience in a marketing or administrative role, with a marketing qualification desirable but not essential.
