About the role

  • Responsible for coordinating and supervising accounting activities ensuring compliance with regulations. Leading the accounting team with a focus on deadlines and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Management of Accounting Routines - Coordinate and review daily accounting entries and ensure the correct classification of revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities.
  • Accounting Close - Lead monthly, quarterly and annual accounting closes within established deadlines and analyze balance sheet and income statement variances (horizontal and vertical analysis).
  • Preparation of Financial Statements - Supervise the preparation of the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity and Notes to the Financial Statements.
  • Compliance with Filing Requirements - Ensure accurate and timely submission of ECD, ECF and other accounting filings.
  • Tax Calculation and Support - Support correct calculation of IRPJ and CSLL and monitor additions, exclusions and compensations in LALUR and LACS.
  • Audit Support - Support external and internal audits by preparing documents and technical justifications, and follow up on recommendations and action plans arising from audits.
  • Reconciliation and Account Control - Ensure periodic reconciliation of accounting accounts.
  • Fixed Asset Control - Supervise control of fixed assets, depreciations and provisions.
  • Monitoring Legislation - Stay up to date with accounting standards (CPCs) and legal requirements.
  • Process Implementation and Improvement - Actively participate in automation and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
  • Internal Controls - Implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of information.
  • Support to Planning - Provide the planning area with accounting information and analyses.
  • Inventory and Cost Management - Manage average product costing and oversee annual and cyclical inventories.
  • Team Management - Lead, coach and develop the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Active CRC registration (Regional Accounting Council license)
  • Solid experience in accounting close processes
  • Experience in leadership positions within the accounting area
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (CPCs, IFRS) and general accounting routines
  • Strong knowledge in preparing and presenting financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement)
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Experience with ERP systems (TOTVS, SAP, Oracle or similar)
