About the role
- Project Manager – Highway responsible for managing Iowa DOT projects and leading design teams. Build client relationships and ensure successful delivery of transportation and public works projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering design and ensure transportation and public works projects are delivered successfully across Iowa
- Lead and mentor project teams in design and plan preparation for roadway and highway projects
- Build and maintain relationships with key client decision makers
- Monitor upcoming project advertisements and changes in the clients' organization
- Support projects in other states, and multi-state licensure is recommended
Requirements
- 10-15 years related experience, either internally or equivalent external experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the State of Iowa, or the ability to obtain an Iowa P.E. license within four months of hire
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on all levels, internal and external
- Software proficiency – roadway design software (MicroStation and Openroads Designer), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Projectwise
