Responsibilities
- Manage and execute a variety of civil engineering design and permitting projects
- Prepare scope, budget, and schedule for projects to ensure requirements are met on time
- Attend project meetings and present project aspects to internal staff and clients
- Oversee the work of technical staff
- Collaborate with local, regional, or state-level clients to assist in achieving goals
- Develop project work plans and scopes
- Provide project oversight and schedule monitoring
- Prepare fee proposals and manage project budgets and invoicing
- Prepare plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Produce technical documents and reports
- Administer QA/QC for project deliverables
- Prepare construction cost models and engineer’s opinion of probable cost
- Maintain effective communications with clients and team members
- Ensure productive use of staff resources
Requirements
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering
- AZ Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain PE within one year
- Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience with civil design
- Experience with drainage, utility, roadway / transportation design
- Experience with traffic, drainage and utility reports a plus
- Experience working with both private and municipal clients
- Industry relationships and understanding of municipal, state and federal criteria
- Valid driver's license, in conjunction with successfully passing the Company’s MVR
