About the role
- Cloud Security Engineer responsible for securing cloud infrastructure at Matillion. Focused on AI workloads and building automation for security enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Secure all cloud infrastructure from both a deployment and detection standpoint.
- Drive security enhancements and implement new controls across broad-scale cloud and SaaS infrastructure, focusing on areas like encryption, secret management, and network isolation.
- Contribute to continuously raising the security bar for our emerging AI workloads, including the Maia security project.
- Implement new detections for emerging threats by analyzing threat intelligence, building tools, and developing robust automation for manual response processes.
- Serve as a first responder to security incidents, triaging and validating events, and working out the technical implications for the team.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly **AWS**.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like **Python** and Bash for building automation and tooling.
- Experience in building Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Cloud Formation Template.
- Proven ability to manage, optimize, and use core security tools (e.g., CNAPP, CSPM, EDR, SOAR, SIEM).
- Prior experience in responding to security alerts, detections, and incidents within a fast-paced environment.
