About the role

  • Senior Financial Reporting Analyst providing operational support to investment teams at Manulife. Handling financial reporting requirements and ensuring compliance and accuracy in investment operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the investment team, investor relations, and management teams across MIM PE&C’s investment programs
  • Monitor investment closings
  • Loan servicing, monitoring, tracking
  • Tracking, reconciliation, and recording of all investment activity alongside the administrator
  • Maintain databases of activity to update performance track record
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of electronic files
  • Prepare cash flow projections for each investment and fund
  • Preparation and review of financial statements
  • Coordination with external and internal auditors
  • Monitoring of available capital for investments
  • Calculation and execution of capital calls and distributions
  • Performance measurement and reporting
  • Cash administration, including wire preparation and bank account reconciliation
  • Coordination with internal and external tax preparers for federal and state tax estimates and filings
  • Review and assist in resolution of notices from tax authorities
  • Preparation/review and issuance of investor capital accounts and reporting packages

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related major
  • 2+ years of professional experience at an alternative investment manager or fund administrator in an operational or financial support role
  • An understanding of private equity/credit investments and legal agreements
  • Working knowledge with Investran or similar reporting software
  • Advanced computer skills (especially Microsoft Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to articulate information and ideas effectively
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining effective business relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
  • Motivated, analytical, and able to make sound judgments
  • Able to work independently and as a team member effectively
