Responsibilities
Prepare standard journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and support the preparation of state filings, footnotes, and financial statements.
Apply working knowledge of accounting rules, regulatory requirements, and internal business processes within your area of responsibility.
Conduct basic financial analysis and support issue identification and resolution.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with managers and colleagues to address issues and ensure reporting accuracy.
Gain proficiency with MS Excel, Essbase, Lawson accounting segments, and JETS for journal entry processing.
Demonstrate commitment to expanding knowledge of accounting bases and the life insurance regulatory environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent work experience.
Up to 3 years of accounting experience, ideally in general ledger, reporting, or financial analysis.
Working knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with Essbase is an advantage.
