About the role

  • Lead and scale the SMB (Small & Medium Business) Energy Sales team.
  • Drive revenue growth within the larger Energy sales team.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Foster strong team cohesion through coaching and mentorship.
  • Manage a growing team of 6–10 sales professionals focused on deals up to ~5,000MWh.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to the sales team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Build and scale the SMB sales team through identifying top talent and fostering a winning culture.
  • Deliver clear, actionable sales reports and forecasts to track performance against goals.
  • Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Direct B2B Energy Sales Experience: 5–10 years selling electricity, natural gas, or green energy contracts (supplier or broker backgrounds welcome).
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and inspire sales teams—even if your formal title wasn’t “manager.”
  • Multi-year track record of exceeding team quotas ($5M+)
  • Strong leadership skills with a coaching mindset and the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business growth.
