Responsibilities

  • As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, customizing, automation, software integration, project and workflow management platform and complementary systems. This role requires a strong understanding of API development, optimization, automation, and user support to streamline business processes.
  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Configure custom workflows, item types, and statuses based on user requirements
  • Set up integrations with native apps
  • Developing custom widgets, apps, or integrations using Monday Apps Framework
  • Write scripts (typically in JavaScript/TypeScript or Node.js) to extend Monday’s capabilities
  • Microsoft Teams, etc., using custom middleware tools (e.g., PowerApps, Zapier etc.)
  • Strong understanding and support for SQL database and Microsoft Fabric)
  • Implement bi-directional data syncing and ensure data integrity
  • Building automation rules within Monday or through external tools/scripts to trigger notifications, status updates, or actions
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
  • Designing and building boards, dashboards, views, and automations tailored to business workflows
  • Be able to build and automate macros in excel spreadsheet and automate the processes
  • Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide ongoing support
  • Monitor integrations, scripts, and automations to ensure they run as expected
  • Maintain documentation of all customizations, integrations, and processes
  • Optimize Processes: Spot inefficiencies, redesign workflows, and drive continuous improvement
  • Create Smart Solutions: Build automations, configure tools, and integrate systems to reduce manual work
  • Leverage AI: Design and refine ChatGPT (or other AI) workflows, prompts, and automations to accelerate reporting and analysis
  • Turn Data into Action: Analyze key metrics, report results, and recommend process improvements
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Act as the connector between research, tech, and business groups to deliver scalable solutions
  • Document & Share: Maintain SOPs, process maps, and knowledge bases to ensure consistency and scalability

Requirements

  • **Must-have Skills / Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or related field
  • Equivalent hands-on experience or certifications in operations engineering, process improvement, or project management welcomed
  • Technical Skills: Python, SQL, XML, JavaScript, JSON, jQuery, CSS, API scripting, Excel, Power BI; understanding of databases, data pipelines, and QA best practices
  • AI & Automation Skills: Ability to design AI-powered workflows, craft effective prompts, and use tools like ChatGPT to automate data handling and reporting tasks
  • Problem-Solver: Able to break down complex business problems and create scalable, tech-enabled solutions
  • Project Leader: Organized, adaptable, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicator: Skilled at working with both technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Continuous Improver: Process-driven, detail-oriented, and always looking for better ways of working

  • Experience with Excel, Monday.com, Forsta’s Surveys/Decipher, or other market research data platforms
