About the role

  • People Systems & AI Specialist at Made Tech focusing on HRIS optimization and automation. Leading AI tool implementation and mentoring the People team in a technology-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct a deep-dive audit of our current HRIS capabilities. You will lead the "cleanup" of data structures and ensure we are utilising 100% of the system's potential to drive efficiency.
  • Identify the top 10 most manual/repetitive tasks in the People lifecycle (e.g., contract changes, onboarding triggers, leave approvals) and build automated workflows to handle them using tools like Zapier, Workato, or native system integrations.
  • Lead the practical rollout of AI tools within the People team. You will build and deploy custom AI assistants (GPTs or agents) to handle internal queries, audit payroll data, and assist in sentiment analysis.
  • Ensure our People tech stack (ATS, HRIS, LMS, Payroll) is fully joined up, minimising data silos and ensuring a seamless, sign-on experience for employees.
  • Act as a mentor to the wider People team, building their confidence and capability in using new tools and automation techniques so the transformation continues after your tenure.

Requirements

  • Deep experience with multiple HRIS platforms (e.g., HiBob, BambooHR, Workday) and a proven track record of complex implementations.
  • You are a "no-code/low-code" enthusiast. You understand how to connect systems and automate triggers to save hundreds of hours of manual work.
  • You don’t just talk about AI; you use it. You have experience building custom agents or using LLMs to solve specific operational problems.
  • Comprehensive skills in tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Google Looker Studio, with the ability to turn "messy data" into a clear, strategic story.
  • Because this is a fixed-term role, you must be ruthlessly organised, focusing on "Minimum Viable Products" (MVPs) and rapid delivery cycles.
  • You can flex to be able to relate complex information and processes to our engineering squads and our People team specialists, ensuring everyone is aligned on the digital roadmap.

Benefits

  • 30 days Holiday - we offer 30 days of paid annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata)
  • Flexible Parental Leave - we offer flexible parental leave options
  • Remote Working - we offer part time remote working for all our staff
  • Paid counselling - we offer paid counselling as well as financial and legal advice
