Billing Specialist coordinating billing activities for Latham & Watkins, involving timely responses and processing bills. Interfacing with clients and internal teams for effective billing operations.
Responsibilities
Coordinating the activities of the billing process and performing billing duties with varying levels of complexity
Acting as a liaison between billing attorneys, billing specialists, assistants, and/or members of Latham’s organization and the billing staff
Responding to internal and external inquiries in a timely manner
Contacting clients regarding delinquent bills and other outstanding issues
Creating, editing, and processing bills in accordance with Firm and client requirements
Reviewing proformas, handling subsequent corrections, and e-billing coordination
Generating and reviewing proformas from 3E
Utilizing computerized billing and payable software modules
Proactively seeking knowledge regarding the status of bills and consistently meeting agreed-upon deadlines
Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
Requirements
A high school diploma or an equivalent, preferably a bachelor’s degree
A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a legal, accounting, finance, or an equivalent industry
Display knowledge of 3E or Elite
Possess excellent customer service skills, are detail oriented, and are highly organized
