About the role
- Senior Accountant responsible for general accounting at Lush network in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Handling bank reconciliations, monthly closings, and managing supplier payments and internal audits.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the general accounting for the Lush network in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
- Supervise subsidiary/auxiliary accounting.
- Support bank reconciliations and bank deposits.
- Assist with fixed asset management.
- Oversee monthly closings: posting closing journal entries (accruals/deferrals/prepayments — e.g., FNP/CCA/PCA/FAE — and social security and tax charges).
- Ensure monthly account maintenance and analysis.
- Support franchise accounting and management.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with payroll accounting and inventory accounting.
- Develop and document internal procedures.
- Record and control expense reports and petty cash.
- Manage supplier/vendor payments.
- Verify deferred income.
- Maintain audit files and support balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external auditors.
Requirements
- Master's degree (Bac +5) in accounting or equivalent, with initial experience in general accounting including monthly reporting.
- Professional fluency in English is essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounting and tax regulations (French GAAP - PCG, IFRS).
- Proficiency with IT tools: Sage 100, Cegid, document dematerialization/e-invoicing solutions, Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong internal customer service orientation.
- Strong verbal communication skills; able to coach and engage diplomatically with colleagues; curious and proactive.
