About the role
- Security Consultant performing penetration testing for LRQA clients. Leading engagements, client interactions, and report deliverables with a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver penetration testing against a variety of systems
- Perform engagement kick off calls, wrap up calls, email responses, and debriefs for each penetration test
- Write thorough reports for each engagement incorporating feedback from quality assurance reviews
- Assist in penetration testing presales activities
- Develop client relationships and ensure professional engagements
- Provide technical analysis of current IT Security related events
- Be a continuous learner on IT Security related skills and knowledge
- Mentor less experienced security consultants where appropriate
Requirements
- Penetration testing experience
- confident with web application, infrastructure, or mobile application penetration testing
- ability to abstract and explain complex issues to C level executives
- ability to teach and mentor other team members
- knowledge of open-source tools, security blogs, or participation in CTFs
- passion for cyber and constant desire to push yourself
- in-depth knowledge of applications and networking
- background in Information Technology such as development, networking, or system administration
- specialization in cloud penetration testing skills, exploit development, or reverse engineering is advantageous
- flexible on certifications based on capabilities and experience.
- BSc degree in a technical discipline is advantageous
- CREST Registered Tester or CREST Certified Tester is advantageous
- Offensive Security certifications like OSCP is advantageous
- AWS Security Specialty / Azure AZ-500 is advantageous
- CSK / CCSP / CISSP is advantageous
- any other relevant penetration testing or IT certification is advantageous
