About the role
- Intermediate Citrix and Virtualization Consultant at Long View supporting various Citrix and virtualization technologies in a collaborative IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior technical support for all server infrastructure components (hardware, software, OS, firmware, network, cloud infrastructure)
- Consult with users and evaluate requirements, recommend designs, provide cost analysis, plan projects, and coordinate tasks for projects
- Work with teammates to design and implement complex solutions
- Installation, configuration, maintenance and upgrades of servers, with a focus on utilizing technology to achieve business objectives
- Act as Tier 3 escalation point for service desk
- Perform incidents root cause analysis and identify work around or fix
Requirements
- 5+ years of working experience within an Enterprise environment, supporting diverse IT Infrastructure platforms
- 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with the Citrix ecosystem, including XenApp, XenDesktop, Delivery Controllers, StoreFront Servers, Citrix Gateways and Profile management with FSLogix
- Technical knowledge with 4+ years of experience in Windows and Red Hat Linux Server operating systems in an enterprise environment
- 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience with the architectural and/or deployment and/or operational support of VMware vSphere Hypervisor/ESXi
- Experience in an Airline setting considered an asset
- Experience with scripting and automation skills (VMware PowerCLI, Terraform, Bash, PowerShell Puppet, and/or Ansible).
- Requires advanced problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in managing service components to ensure they meet business needs and performance target
- Incident and problem management skills
- Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple items
- Willingness to learn related technology and business process
- Ability to determine root cause from outcomes
