About the role
- Mechanical Project Engineer dedicated to overseeing AGV projects within Lincoln Electric's Red Viking subsidiary. Ensuring quality and performance standards through technical execution and collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Support the technical execution of multiple Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) from kickoff to completion
- Ensure AGVs meet RedViking’s quality, performance, and safety standards
- Develop clear technical plans and effectively communicate them to functional teams
- Review scope of work (SOW) and customer specifications
- Develop technical specifications and plan for entire project
- Assess technical project timelines and budget
- Line up function teams
- Critical Component selection and approval
- Engineering document(s) creation and approval (FEMA, Risk Assessment, ATP, etc)
- Technical liaison to customer
- Develop product R&D needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5-10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (or CAD equivalent)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Project, etc)
- Experience in manufacturing and automation
- Emphasis on professional and technical communication
- Ability to travel as needed to ensure project success: average of ~20%
