About the role

  • Cost Accountant managing monthly inventory valuation and forecasting for global mining equipment company. Analyzing manufacturing costs and reporting profitability metrics to management.

Responsibilities

  • responsible for monthly inventory valuation, accuracy controls, and communicating results to management
  • performs quarterly inventory forecast valuation
  • analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
  • records and reports cost information for use in controlling expenditures
  • provides management with reports summarizing profitability of products and services
  • assists in physical inventory and cycle counting inventory
  • monitors maintenance of the ERP system

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field from a four-year college or university
  • five years of related experience in cost accounting and supply chain inventory management
  • ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport
