About the role
- System Engineer responsible for daily IT operations, including server, storage, and datacenter management at Liebherr. Engaging in maintenance, updates, and automation to optimize service quality.
Responsibilities
- You take responsibility for daily operations, including monitoring, fault analysis and incident resolution, to ensure uninterrupted service
- You perform regular maintenance, updates and capacity planning, ensuring our systems are always up to date
- You automate recurring tasks and optimize operational processes to increase efficiency and quality
- You act as a competent point of contact for colleagues, supporting them with complex questions and actively sharing your knowledge
- You ensure technical documentation is comprehensive, structured and kept up to date
Requirements
- Completed vocational training or university degree in IT or an equivalent qualification
- Solid knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup solutions
- Network fundamentals for data center environments
- Experience in the operational management of data center infrastructures, including monitoring, incident, problem and change management
- Automation know-how (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform) to increase operational efficiency
- Good German and English language skills
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, self-organisation, and analytical and abstract thinking abilities
