About the role

  • IT Business Partner providing strategic IT consulting for Finance & Controlling. Driving digital transformation initiatives and managing IT activities across the domain in a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

  • Steering the development and implementation of business strategies from an IT perspective in close coordination with management for the Finance & Controlling domain
  • Identifying and evaluating new IT trends and technologies to unlock new business opportunities and foster innovation
  • Overall coordination and oversight of activities across all IT units within the Finance & Controlling domain
  • Participating in transformation initiatives and managing the demand, project, and service portfolios within the Finance & Controlling area
  • Leading change management initiatives using structured methodologies and overcoming barriers and silos
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including management) and facilitating decision-making processes
  • Ensuring compliance with governance policies and risk management processes
  • Initiating and managing innovation and digitalization projects, including evaluating and validating new ideas, technologies, and trends
  • Facilitating process workshops and ensuring sustainable and transparent documentation
  • Mentoring consulting resources and architects to promote collaboration and professional development
  • Representing the company at conferences and industry forums and through thought leadership activities

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of experience in IT strategy and consulting in a comparable role (e.g., Business Consultant, Business Partner) in an international environment or a larger mid-sized company, ideally within Finance & Controlling
  • Proven experience managing complex challenges in global business environments
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a holistic, technology-agnostic perspective and the ability to create strategic clarity and cross-domain insights
  • Ability to effectively influence decision-making without disciplinary authority — based on technical feasibility, economic viability, and business impact
  • Strategic thinking and strong business understanding within the domain
  • End-to-end and cross-functional thinking, mindset, and solution design
  • Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management, particularly at the C-level
  • Strong consulting and facilitation skills (including presentation skills)
  • High adaptability and willingness for continuous learning and engagement with new industry trends and regulatory requirements
  • Confident communication at C-suite level
  • Excellent German and English skills; an additional European language at B2 level is an advantage.
