Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of SEOs with a focus on advancing on-page optimization impact.
Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across the SEO team and projects/initiatives that operate in conjunction with other teams within the group
Future planning - responsibility for the long-term organic strategy for Covers.com (initiative planning, resources, timeframes and execution)
Team Management - Goals, Growth, Training and Development. Setting the right expectations to not only meet agreed deliverables but smash through them.
Culture Shift > SEO First: Turn SEO into a key component of the leadership team, future direction and strategy
Managing key tools and expenses associated with SEO and Covers.com to ensure teams have what they need and can drive forward at pace.
Be the unblocker in SEO - consistently working to make sure processes are as smooth as possible, key operations and deadlines are met, helping to filter out the noise so that individuals and teams can stay focused and deliver.
Oversee and resolve complex technical SEO challenges for a large-scale, enterprise-level website.
Drive link-building initiatives to strengthen domain authority and expand organic visibility.
Requirements
Proven experience within a leadership team, working in collaboration with peers, earning trust and respect, and together making decisions that ensure growth & profitability for the business
Proven success in developing and implementing SEO strategies with long-term results (ideally for multiple verticals & geographies).
Ability to oversee and drive SEO strategy whilst still working at pace and ensuring creative excellence.
Proactive awareness and anticipation of the latest industry innovations, tools, digital channels, and the role of SEO
Natural coach, mentor, and talent magnet, able to motivate and provide direction to the team, setting clear objectives and development plans.
It would also be great, but not essential, if you had:
Driver (not passive) & International exposure across a big brand/s
Experience of driving organic content strategies to support organic growth and expansion
Product Thinker, Scale Thinker, Holistic Brand Thinker (not just base SEO).
