About the role

  • Controller managing financial resources, analysis, and reporting for Lebenshilfe Bonn with a focus on social impact. Analyzing budgets and providing strategic recommendations for various departments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and monitor various budgets, forecasts and financial plans
  • Analyze deviations between planned and actual figures and derive appropriate measures
  • Further develop and maintain a meaningful reporting system
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for executive management and department heads
  • Responsible for costing/pricing of proposals and projects
  • Prepare and conduct compensation negotiations
  • Contribute to the development of strategic company objectives and profitability analyses
  • Provide financial oversight and support for important projects

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, controlling, financial management, or commercial vocational training with relevant further qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in the social or non-profit sector
  • Solid knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting and grant/funding management
  • Familiarity with controlling tools and ERP systems (e.g., Vivendi, DATEV)
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • High degree of personal responsibility, structured way of working and strong communication skills
  • Experience working with payers and service providers
  • Knowledge of non-profit law and social legislation (SGB VIII, IX, XII)
  • Sensitivity to the specific characteristics of social organizations
