- Product Engineer I at Lear Corporation supporting the launch of new seating systems components from conception to product launch. Involvement in integration of various components and engineering changes management.
Responsibilities
- Lead & support the launch of new seating systems components from conception until product launch.
- Integration of foam, trim, plastics, structures, and other non-JIT components into the final seat complete assembly.
- Responsible for foam design and engineering and component releasing: Seat Foam complete BOM management.
- Engineering Changes release.
- Issue and manage engineering changes to implementation.
- Issue and manage design requests for drawing and 3D updates.
- Prepare and update seat complete DFMEA along with analyzing supporting teams’ DFMEAs.
- Facilitate design for manufacturing meetings and process with manufacturing facilities.
- Facilitate engineering profile gate/design reviews.
- Technical internal and external competitive benchmarking.
- Support and participate in prototype builds.
- Direct or Create one off mockups to show feasibility of design proposals.
