About the role

  • Product Engineer I at Lear Corporation supporting the launch of new seating systems components from conception to product launch. Involvement in integration of various components and engineering changes management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead & support the launch of new seating systems components from conception until product launch.
  • Integration of foam, trim, plastics, structures, and other non-JIT components into the final seat complete assembly.
  • Responsible for foam design and engineering and component releasing: Seat Foam complete BOM management.
  • Engineering Changes release.
  • Issue and manage engineering changes to implementation.
  • Issue and manage design requests for drawing and 3D updates.
  • Prepare and update seat complete DFMEA along with analyzing supporting teams’ DFMEAs.
  • Facilitate design for manufacturing meetings and process with manufacturing facilities.
  • Facilitate engineering profile gate/design reviews.
  • Technical internal and external competitive benchmarking.
  • Support and participate in prototype builds.
  • Direct or Create one off mockups to show feasibility of design proposals.
