About the role

  • Assistant Director managing quality assurance and workforce development in children's services at Barnet Council. Leading innovative practices with internal and external partners to improve child outcomes and reduce service demand.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for provision of quality assurance, workforce development and early intervention and prevention services
  • Work with a range of internal and external partners
  • Manage relationships and contracted services while monitoring audits and workforce development
  • Support development of new working methods and improvements
  • Lead key partnerships and strive to reduce demand for high intensity services

Requirements

  • Qualified and registered social worker
  • Ability to manage both projects and finances
  • Strong background in driving excellent outcomes for children and young people
  • Experience in a complex Children's Services environment
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and quality assurance in family services
  • Excellent understanding of the Ofsted Inspection process
