About the role
- Lead Engineer Documentation creating and improving technical documentation for embedded development tools. Collaborating with development, product management, and support at Lauterbach.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and further develop existing technical manuals
- Create new documentation for innovative features and products
- Work closely with development, support, and product management to gather information and drive continuous improvement
- Editorial responsibility for documentation in English
- Provide editorial support for tutorials and the internal knowledge base
- Use and maintain documentation in Adobe FrameMaker
- Support the evaluation and conceptual development of an AI-powered search solution based on our technical documentation
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Technical Communication
- Experience writing technical documentation in the software/embedded domain
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- Experience with Adobe FrameMaker is an advantage
- Strong technical understanding, e.g., microcontrollers, debugging, programming in C/C++
- Interest in modern technologies, especially artificial intelligence and its application to documentation systems
- Structured, independent, and detail-oriented working style
