About the role
- Cloud-Native Engineer developing, automating, and operating managed SaaS services for Labtagon GmbH. Involves substantial responsibility for cloud-native environment stability and efficiency with a diverse technical stack.
Responsibilities
- You develop, automate, and operate our cloud-native stack
- You deploy services to production, monitor them, and ensure stability, security, and efficiency
- You reduce toil through automation and improve cost structures
- You support the development of new products and services
- You provide internal consulting on cloud-native topics
- You will work on a varied set of tasks: design, build & operate SaaS workloads on Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/OpenTofu and Helm
- GitOps with Argo CD
- Build & maintain CI/CD pipelines including artifact and image management
- Observability: logs, metrics, traces, alerting, SLOs
- Security basics: secrets, policies, supply-chain hardening
- Backup & restore, DR strategies and regular testing
- Incident & change handling, runbooks, postmortems
- Implementing and maintaining platform patterns & best practices
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience operating or developing production systems (Dev or Ops perspective)
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker/OCI, Helm, Git, and CI/CD
- Terraform or OpenTofu already used in production
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: C#, TypeScript, PowerShell, or Python
- Experience with monitoring/logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki
- Networking and security fundamentals and dependable troubleshooting skills
- Working style: independent, responsible, and able to prioritize clearly
- Nice to have: GitOps tools like Argo CD or Flux
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of database operations (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Windows knowledge
- ITSM/ESM experience
