About the role

• Cloud-Native Engineer developing, automating, and operating managed SaaS services for Labtagon GmbH. Involves substantial responsibility for cloud-native environment stability and efficiency with a diverse technical stack.

Responsibilities

• You develop, automate, and operate our cloud-native stack
• You deploy services to production, monitor them, and ensure stability, security, and efficiency
• You reduce toil through automation and improve cost structures
• You support the development of new products and services
• You provide internal consulting on cloud-native topics
• You will work on a varied set of tasks: design, build & operate SaaS workloads on Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/OpenTofu and Helm
• GitOps with Argo CD
• Build & maintain CI/CD pipelines including artifact and image management
• Observability: logs, metrics, traces, alerting, SLOs
• Security basics: secrets, policies, supply-chain hardening
• Backup & restore, DR strategies and regular testing
• Incident & change handling, runbooks, postmortems
• Implementing and maintaining platform patterns & best practices

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience operating or developing production systems (Dev or Ops perspective)
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker/OCI, Helm, Git, and CI/CD
• Terraform or OpenTofu already used in production
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: C#, TypeScript, PowerShell, or Python
• Experience with monitoring/logging stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Loki
• Networking and security fundamentals and dependable troubleshooting skills
• Working style: independent, responsible, and able to prioritize clearly
• Nice to have: GitOps tools like Argo CD or Flux
• Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of database operations (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
• Windows knowledge
• ITSM/ESM experience
