Responsibilities
- Organizing and overseeing the progression of all litigated cases in the firm from filing to trial/settlement
- Working in conjunction with the partner, associate, and support staff
- Conducting legal research, analyzing complex legal issues, and providing guidance and direction to staff and clients
- Meeting with clients in-person, attending depositions, court hearings, and trials
- Preparing briefs, motions, and other legal documents
- Maintaining detailed and accurate client records
- Supervising paralegals and administrative assistants
Requirements
- 5+ years of personal injury law experience
- Licensed to practice law in California, in both state and federal courts
- Possess a valid driver's license, have own transportation, and be able to travel throughout the state to attend court hearings and trials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer
