About the role

  • Associate Attorney at L.A. Injury Attorneys with 1–3 years of litigation experience in personal injury law. Responsible for case management, legal documentation, and client education.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and oversee the progression of all litigated cases in coordination with partners, trial counsel, and litigation staff.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, mediation briefs, trial briefs, and other legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Make regular court appearances, argue motions, and participate in mediations and settlement conferences.
  • Propound and respond to discovery, and draft meet and confer letters.
  • Negotiate and secure favorable settlements for clients.
  • Prepare cases for trial, including witness interviews, evidence gathering, and trial document preparation.
  • Manage client communication, keeping clients informed and prepared at every stage.
  • Educate clients about their legal rights and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • J.D. and active membership in the California State Bar.
  • 1–3 years of litigation experience, with solid knowledge of personal injury law (auto, premises liability, slip & fall, wrongful death, and government claims).
  • Experience managing a heavy caseload and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research, e-filing, trial procedures, discovery, and case management.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; professionalism and the ability to maintain effective relationships with attorneys, staff, and the public.
  • Valid driver’s license, personal transportation, and willingness to travel throughout California for court appearances, depositions, and mediations.
  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer.
