About the role

  • Systems Engineering Specialist managing technical planning, integration, and troubleshooting for complex systems. Collaborating with engineering teams on requirements, design, and validation across ground and airborne platforms.

Responsibilities

  • The Systems Engineering (SE) Specialist will be responsible for performing technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and/or subsystems.
  • Translate the voice of the customer into system-level requirements.
  • Perform requirement traceability, and verification testing.
  • Develop and evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness.
  • Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system designs.
  • Write subsystem specifications based on system-level requirements.
  • Understand physical architectures incorporating voice, video, and data capability across multiple security domains.
  • Create System Block Diagrams.
  • Review and evaluate electrical wiring diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements.
  • Interpret complex system ICDs to new architecture designs.
  • Understand test, integration, verification, and validation planning.
  • Write effective verification test procedures to ensure system performance and capabilities meet system requirements.
  • Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical professionals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with nine (9) years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
  • Graduate Degree with seven (7) years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
  • In Lieu of a degree, a minimum of thirteen (13) years of experience with Aircraft systems architecture design, integration, and/or ground/flight test certification.
  • A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with systems engineering, configuration, testing, integrating, and/or verifying software and/or hardware in a multi-domain mobile airborne datalink, video, voice and data communication systems environment.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
