About the role

  • Sustainability Finance Manager at KPMG advising on climate-related finance and integrating sustainability into business operations. Leading financial strategies and supporting clients' transition to a low-carbon economy.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and advise on climate-related financial analysis, scenario modelling, and financial quantification.
  • Embed sustainability into business operations through its integration in financial planning and decision making process.
  • Deliver high-quality advisory services on climate adaptation, resilience, and financial disclosure (NZ CS, TCFD, ISSB, IFRS S1 & S2).
  • Drive business development and build strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across industries.
  • Collaborate globally with KPMG experts to craft innovative solutions and grow our Sustainable Value Creation offerings.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering expertise and excellence across projects.

Requirements

  • Expertise in financial planning and analysis, capital allocation, and/or value creation.
  • Strong knowledge of climate-related financial disclosure frameworks (NZ CS, TCFD, ISSB, IFRS S1 & S2) and the intersect with climate change scenarios, transition planning, and risk management).
  • 5+ years’ experience in advisory roles—Big 4 or management consulting experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for leading complex, multidisciplinary projects.
