About the role
- Summer Trainee DevOps Engineer role supporting embedded software development within KONE, focusing on modern tools and methodologies for critical product releases.
Responsibilities
- Build and configure embedded software using Yocto.
- Follow Agile and DevOps tools, methods, and best practices in daily work.
- Collaborate with the team on development, testing, integration, and delivery of embedded software components.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of build pipelines and workflows.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on key releases, including: Alarm Phone Release 3.0, EAE and the containerized Kedge process.
- Attend Agile ceremonies and contribute to teamwork and daily development activities.
Requirements
- Exposure to Yocto for embedded projects.
- Exposure to building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., using Jenkins and GitHub).
- Interest in embedded Linux environments, DevOps automation, or build systems.
- Willingness to learn, collaborate, and take responsibility.
