• Platform Engineer managing security and network solutions for global IT infrastructure at Knauf Group. Administering firewall solutions and integrating new systems while ensuring compliance with IT security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain globally distributed firewall solutions to ensure seamless functionality and resolve issues promptly
• Take charge of implementing infrastructure changes, managing lifecycle updates, and safeguarding firewall security and performance
• Play a key role in integrating new systems, securing internet access via proxy services, and monitoring compliance
• Dive into security investigations, address incidents, research emerging threats, and apply effective remediation strategies
• Contribute to the planning, development, and deployment of new security tools while ensuring compliance with IT security regulations and keeping documentation up to date

Requirements

• Experienced with Fortinet and Checkpoint, holding relevant certifications that demonstrate expertise in firewall and security solutions
• Advanced knowledge of Azure Cloud security and a strong grasp of networking protocols like TCP, UDP, and the IP stack
• Skilled in 2nd/3rd level support, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
• Proficient in network and cloud security, with additional familiarity with BigIP F5 and Zscaler considered a plus
• Certified in CISSP or a similar security qualification, with hands-on experience in regulated environments and compliance with industry standards
