About the role

• IT Project Manager leading global Finance and Controlling digitalization initiatives at Knauf. Driving project phases while collaborating with Finance stakeholders and IT teams in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global initiative to digitalize Finance and Controlling processes and harmonize core financial data structures/ reporting standards across Knauf.
• Actively drive the project through design, planning, implementation and hypercare phases while managing key project variables such as scope, timeline, budget, and quality.
• Facilitate effective communication between the core project team, Finance stakeholders, and IT to ensure requirements are clearly defined, aligned with financial governance standards, and successfully implemented.
• Establish an environment where the project team can work efficiently on scalable Finance solutions, including reporting, planning, and financial data management.
• Support Product Managers in enabling the team’s progress and ensuring alignment with business priorities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in agile project management with a track record of successfully delivering complex Finance or Controlling transformation projects, focusing on deadlines, budgets, and stakeholder value.
• Extensive hands-on expertise in creating and maintaining detailed project documentation, ensuring transparency around financial systems, reporting processes, and project progress.
• Strong experience with SAP and non-SAP Finance systems with hands-on exposure to solutions such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP FI/CO, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Group Reporting or comparable platforms as well as solid knowledge of Jira and Confluence/ServiceNow.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and collaborate with Finance, IT, and external stakeholders.
• Strong motivation for change and transformation within Finance organizations with a proactive mindset and the ability to identify and implement solutions that improve financial transparency, efficiency, and decision-making.
