About the role

  • Junior Privacy Analyst at Keywords Studios, supporting global data privacy and AI governance. Engaging in various administrative tasks, compliance checks, and collaborating with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for the Privacy inbox by sorting and assigning incoming queries, answering basic routine questions and escalating more complex issues to the senior team.
  • Provide administrative support for privacy training. This includes managing user access on training platforms, tracking completion rates, and ensuring staff have access to the correct policy documents.
  • Assist business units in identifying processing activities that require a Legitimate Interests Assessment and provide guidance on how to complete the standard documentation.
  • Assist with the administration of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), including tracking status in the central register and coordinating with project owners to ensure forms are correctly updated and stored.
  • Work across departments to collect information for the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA), helping to ensure the data inventory remains accurate and up-to-date for senior review.
  • Support the fulfilment of data subject rights requests by verifying the requester’s identity, conducting initial data searches across internal systems, and preparing files for review.
  • Assist in responding to privacy questionnaires received from third parties and helping to gather the necessary information and documentation for vendor due diligence.
  • Conduct and provide support during low-level data breaches or "near miss." Duties include documenting the timeline, organising evidence, and tracking the status of remedial actions until they are resolved.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Privacy and AI Governance ‘Knowledge Hub’ is up-to-date with the latest Privacy team policies, processes, standards, and guidance.
  • Gathering data from various repositories to enable monthly reporting of privacy activity and risks.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Privacy Management
  • IAPP certification preferable (CIPP/E or CIPP/A) and/or a firm understanding of privacy frameworks
  • Ability to provide hands-on support and translate basic regulatory requirements into practical steps for business stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with a variety of functions across the organisation.
  • Can communicate clearly in English, both in writing and verbally, with an ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Understands business objectives and requirements, ensuring privacy support activities align with broader commercial goals.
  • Thrives in high-activity, fast-paced environments, with the flexibility to shift between competing priorities and diverse tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools, with an aptitude for learning new privacy management software.
  • Maintains a strong focus on delivery, assisting in the development of solutions rather than just identifying blockers.
  • Ensures high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Highly accountable and dependable, capable of managing assigned workflows with a proactive and collaborative approach.
