About the role

  • Lead Full-Stack Engineer focused on developing web applications for Kaufland's e-commerce platform. Responsible for performance optimization, system monitoring, and providing mentorship to teams.

Responsibilities

  • You independently manage complex technical dependencies to ensure smooth integration and minimize conflicts across our system landscape
  • You continuously drive performance optimization by identifying and addressing bottlenecks across our application landscape
  • You autonomously develop and maintain complex web applications using our core technologies: Node.js and Vue.js
  • You oversee system monitoring, including integrating tools such as Datadog, to ensure high performance and reliability
  • You implement reliable and scalable Server-Side Rendering (SSR) solutions within your domain to enhance user experience
  • You design, develop, and deploy scalable, maintainable, and efficient microservices to support our long-term architecture
  • You provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams, acting as a key consultant within your area of expertise

Requirements

  • You have a proven track record of 9+ years solving diverse engineering problems using the tools and frameworks best suited to the problem domain
  • You possess deep knowledge of TypeScript and Vue.js, or strong experience with other modern frontend frameworks
  • You have a solid background in backend application development, particularly Node.js, PHP, or other relevant languages
  • You demonstrate operational excellence with modern testing, debugging, monitoring, and deployment practices
  • You apply adaptive technical thinking to build responsive applications across various API paradigms while maintaining a solid understanding of infrastructure
  • Ideally, you have experience running efficient A/B tests and validating ideas through high-iteration cycles to drive product growth
  • You are a proactive communicator who takes ownership, challenges inefficient processes, and thrives in an international environment
  • You are fluent in English (C1) and enjoy working in an international environment
