About the role

  • Overseeing compliance management systems and data protection at Kardex Group. Ensuring effective implementation and adherence to regulations and internal policies from Zurich office.

Responsibilities

  • Steering and monitoring of all activities related to the maintenance and further development of the compliance management system and the data protection framework and ensuring its effective and uniform implementation within Kardex
  • Coordinating group-wide compliance and data protection initiatives
  • Identifying and assessing company-specific compliance and data protection risks
  • Maintain and update internal policies related to compliance and data protection and regularly monitor adherence to such policies to prevent inappropriate, unethical and illegal behavior
  • Advising and supporting group management, group functions and the business units in all compliance, data protection and governance-related matters, as well as collaborating with other relevant functions
  • Awareness raising and training of employees on compliance and data protection matters
  • Monitor relevant regulatory developments and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Ensuring central accessibility of the Kardex whistleblower platform and processing incoming reports
  • Addressing violations of rules, regulations and policies and reviewing and proposing the initiation of investigative procedures
  • Coordinating the central accessibility of the records of processing activities of Kardex
  • Regular reporting to Group Executive Management and Board of Directors on all relevant compliance and data protection issues as well as the status of the Compliance Management Systems and the data protection framework

Requirements

  • Master degree in law, preferably with bar admission or additional qualification in Compliance management
  • > 5 years of work experience handling compliance and data protection matters in a multinational organization
  • Deep knowledge of international, European and local regulations related to compliance and data protection
  • Know-how and experience in industrial sector(s) is a plus
  • A practical, business-oriented approach to identifying and solving business and compliance problems with the ability to act with urgency and passion
  • Proficiency in German and English. Every other language is an asset
  • Excellent research, writing, negotiation, counselling and communications skills and a positive client service orientation
  • Willingness to pitch-in and help with compliance and data protection projects across the organization
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member in cross-functional, cross-national and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ability to balance compliance with the competing demands of the business
  • Accountability, sound judgment and the ability to take ownership of an issue and provide concise and timely advice
  • Integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
