Pharmacy Applications Analyst responsible for system upgrades and maintaining health informatics tools at The University of Kansas Health System.
Responsibilities
Use appropriate architecture computer tools and programming languages in the development of streamlined pathways, data collection, document flow and reports
Participate in the evaluation, planning, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and support of system upgrades, optimizations and new system implementations.
Deliver a project or work product that meets the expectations of the request, insures customer acceptance, and stays within project timelines.
Ensure that proper education and documentation is completed for assigned projects and that there is a plan for distributing that education.
Develop and maintain supporting documentation for project design, development, coordination and implementation.
Actively participates and shares ideas in team, project and status meetings.
Learn, develop, and maintain an expert level of knowledge in the assigned application or technical areas and their impacts towards the clinical departments and resources.
Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
Requirements
High School Graduate
Bachelors Degree or 3 years of related experience in applied area
1 or more years of working with Epic or other comparable health care informatics computer system.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Windows and word processing experience.
Familiarity with personal computers, their hardware requirements, and various applications.
